Dawn of Hope

I woke up...

It was still dark..
The birds were not chirping..
Nor was the morning lark..

I wondered, why i woke up so early..
but was unable to think..
My hair were all tangled and curly..
and eyes unable to blink..

There was serenity prevailing..
that made silence bark..
Like a ship alone in an ocean sailing..
towards the scary dark..

I was awake with my eyes closed..
Feeling that light, I realised
Stunned with that strange glitter,
I lay still, silent and mesmerised..

Faking a slumber wouldn't help..
It was high time for me to face the reality..
Pinching me was my conscience and my sensuality..

Suddenly a sound broke it all..
It was a cat across the hall..

I chuckled as it was still dark..
I could still hear the dogs bark..

But it was the freshness of my mind,
Which caught my attention..
With my thoughts off wind..
I lost all my tension..

I confess, I was shattered when I slept..
Buried under the pressure I even wept..

But in this dawn of morning stream,
I feel every problem I could cope,
Because the light I saw in my dream..
was….HOPE"
